Restoration inside the monkey park

The monkey park is an essential place for the sanctuary's primates. The current 200m² park is badly deteriorated

Restoration of the monkey park

The Monkey Park is an essential and vital place dedicated to the primates we rescue who have been injured or abused. For most of the residents, it is a transitional place where they rest and are cared for, healed and regain their confidence before being released on the sanctuary’s monkey island. For those who are too psychologically traumatized to be released into the wild or into a community, the monkey park is their home, which is why it must be pleasant and comfortable.

The current park which covers 200m2 is in a very poor state. A lot of work needs to be done, including the restoration of the fences, the building of shelters and the improvement of the interior facilities (footbridge, trees, etc.).
