General terms and conditions of donations
We thank you for the attention you give to our actions. Animal Sanctuary Laos does not receive any financial support from political authorities, which is why it is financed entirely by donations from individuals or private companies. We invite you to read carefully the following terms and conditions for donations to Animal Sanctuary Laos, which is recognised as a public interest association.
By clicking on the form, you validate your donation and you irrevocably accept the present general conditions. Thus, you can only make a donation if you accept the conditions stated below.
The following terms and conditions of donation regulate all transactions made on the website (https://animalsanctuarylaos.com) of the association Animal Sanctuary Laos. Any donation made on this website implies that the donor unconditionally and irrevocably accepts these conditions. Animal Sanctuary Laos is a non-profit association registered in the Journal officiel des associations et fondations d’entreprise. https://www.journal-officiel.gouv.fr/associations/
This contract is a distance contract and the present General Conditions aim to define the rights and obligations of the parties in the context of the donations you choose to carry out in favour of the association Animal Sanctuary Laos.
In the following sections of the contract, each of the terms mentioned above shall have the meaning of the definition thereof, i.e.:
- “Distance contract”: any contract regarding donations between the association Animal Sanctuary Laos and a Donor within the context of a distance donation system organised by the association Animal Sanctuary Laos which, for this contract, uses exclusively the Internet network until the conclusion of the contract, including the completion of the contract itself.
- “Donator”: any natural person who, in the present contract, acts for personal purposes.
- “Donation form”: a document indicating the details of the donation made by the Donor and which must be confirmed by “clicking” to commit them.
- “Donation”: an act by which the Donor agrees to make a donation to Animal Sanctuary Laos who receives it.
4. Scope of application
The present General Conditions apply between Animal Sanctuary Laos, a French association under the law of 1901, and natural and legal persons who make donations on the website https://animalsanctuarylaos.com (hereafter “donors”). The General Conditions apply in the version respectively in force at the date of the transfer of the donation.
The General Terms and Conditions apply exclusively. The donor expressly accepts the General Terms and Conditions by transferring his donation. Any terms and conditions of the donor that are contrary to or deviate from the general terms and conditions of the association shall not be recognised, unless the association has expressly agreed to them in a written form for the individual case. The Association reserves the right to amend these General Terms and Conditions at any time.
Unless the Parties expressly agree otherwise in writing, these Terms and Conditions apply to all Contracts entered into between Animal Sanctuary Laos and you. These Terms and Conditions also apply to all future Contracts between Animal Sanctuary Laos and you, even if, in the context of future Contracts, Animal Sanctuary Laos does not expressly refer to these Terms and Conditions.
5. Make a donation
After you have set the amount of your donation, the amount is automatically added to your donation form. Once you have finished, validate your donation by clicking on the “Send” button. Once validated, your donation is not refundable but can be accounted for.
6. Affectation of the donations
When your donation is made during a specific fundraising campaign, it is automatically allocated to the project of interest. Apart from fundraising campaigns, Animal Sanctuary Laos can inform you of the project to which your donation has been allocated following a request from you sent to [email protected]
Animal Sanctuary Laos is not required to provide a financial report to the donor.
7. Entering into the Contract
Each Contract is entered into upon receipt of the Donation, in part or in full, to the bank account of Animal Sanctuary Laos.
Animal Sanctuary Laos reserves the right to subject the validity of the Contract to other conditions in the case, for example, of donations involving a large sum or donations made by minors.
In accordance with article 894 of the Civil Code, the donation is an irrevocable act, without prejudice to these General Conditions.
8. Payment methods
To make your donation by credit card, choose the method of payment among those proposed by the association Animal Sanctuary Laos (Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, PayPal). Your account will be debited the day following the date of confirmation of the transaction.
Your credit card payment is secured by Stripe or PayPal, which offer fully secure payment services.
When you choose to make a regular donation, please fill in your credit card details (cardholder, card number, expiry date, cryptogram on the back) – Each month you will see a debit from your credit card corresponding to the regular donation to our association. You can cancel your monthly donation at any time from your donor account on our website or by contacting your bank.
In case of payment by credit card, the provisions relating to the fraudulent use of the means of payment provided in the agreements concluded between the Donor and the issuer of the card, between the Animal Sanctuary Laos Association and its banking institution apply.
9. Fiscal attestation & tax deduction
Donations or waivers of income from individuals or companies to Animal Sanctuary Laos are eligible for tax reduction. Animal Sanctuary Laos is an association accredited to receive donations so that donors can benefit from a tax reduction provided that certain legal conditions are met. If the amount of donations you have made to Animal Sanctuary Laos is the minimum amount (tax deductibility threshold) in a calendar year, you can benefit from a tax deduction in accordance with the legislation in force and subject to legislative change.
If you are a French resident, you will benefit from a tax reduction equal to 66% of the amount donated, up to a limit of 20% of taxable income. If this limit is exceeded, the excess amount paid in a given year can be carried forward to the next five years.
If you declare your income online, you will find the boxes for declaring a donation in Step 3 of the online declaration. Select the “Tax reductions and credits” box in the “Expenses” section of this page and click “Next” to enter the amount that gives you your tax reduction/credit in box 7UF.
10. Intellectual property
All Intellectual Property Rights of Animal Sanctuary Laos Association, communicated in any way by Animal Sanctuary Laos Association under the Contract remain the exclusive property of Animal Sanctuary Laos association. Any reproduction or use of these without the prior written consent of Animal Sanctuary Laos Association is expressly prohibited and may result in a claim for compensation from Animal Sanctuary Laos Association, as well as the application of any other penalty at the discretion of Animal Sanctuary Laos Association.
You guarantee that the data concerning yourself communicated to the association Animal Sanctuary Laos are accurate.
The Donor guarantees to the association Animal Sanctuary Laos that he has the funds and authorizations necessary to use the payment method selected during the validation of the donation form.
12. Liability and compensation
The liability limitations agreed below do not apply if they are contrary to mandatory legal provisions or public policy.
- The parties can only be held liable – irrespective of the legal basis – for damage resulting from their own intentional or very serious misconduct.
- The Parties shall under no circumstances be liable for any indirect, incidental, punitive, accessory or consequential damage, such as the loss of profits or revenue, loss of turnover, business interruption costs, reputational damage or the loss of Customers.
- The liability of each Party to the other Party shall be limited to the equivalent of 100% (one hundred percent) of the sums paid by the Donor to the Beneficiary in respect of the Contract, irrespective of the nature of the claim, whether in contract, tort, warranty or otherwise.
- The exclusions of liability of the Beneficiary set out in the foregoing paragraphs shall also apply to the liability of the Beneficiary’s staff, employees, contractors, representatives, deputies, suppliers and deliverers (if need be).
13. Data confidentiality
The information you are asked to provide is necessary for the processing of your donations and is treated with the utmost confidentiality. You have the right to rectify your personal data. You may receive thanks and newsletters from Animal Sanctuary Laos. If you do not want to receive these, please let us know by sending an email to the following address: [email protected]
By entering into the Contract, you accept that your Data will be processed by Animal Sanctuary Laos for the execution of the Contract. Unless you give your consent, your Data will not be processed for any other purpose. 14. Evidence of paid transactions
The data recorded on the platforms Stripe or PayPal on behalf of the association Animal Sanctuary Laos constitute the evidence of all commercial transactions between you and the association Animal Sanctuary Laos.
15. Final provisions
Any litigation arising from the contractual relationship between the Beneficiary and the Donor shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the French courts.
Without prejudice to applicable foreign laws of public policy or mandatory law, French law shall apply to the contractual relationship between the Beneficiary and the Donor.
If one or more provisions of the Contract are declared partially or fully invalid, illegal or unenforceable, the validity, legality and enforceability of the remaining provisions of the Contract shall not be affected. In such a case, the Parties undertake to replace with retroactive effect the partially or fully invalid, illegal or unenforceable provision with a valid, legal or enforceable provision that is as close as possible to the purpose of the invalid, illegal or unenforceable provision.
The Contract constitutes the total agreement between the Parties and replaces all previous agreements relating to the object of the Contract.
All obligations under the Contract which, by their nature, extend beyond the end of the Contract, shall remain in force after the end of the Contract.
The Parties are independent and agree that the Contract does not establish an agency or partnership relationship between them. No provision of the Contract shall be interpreted as establishing a relationship whereby one Party acts or provides guarantees on behalf of the other, except when it is expressly provided in the Contract.
General booking conditions
The purpose of these general conditions is to define the terms and conditions under which Animal Sanctuary Laos and Free Bouba Zoo Sole Co. Ltd (hereinafter “the contractor” or “the hotel” or “the sanctuary”) allow its Customers (hereinafter “the” or “the Customers”) to benefit from all the Services, especially the booking of rooms and stays available on the website https://animalsanctuarylaos.com
The Customer declares to have obtained from Animal Sanctuary Laos all the necessary information to choose and proceed with the booking.
Any reservation made via the website https://animalsanctuarylaos.com implies the consultation and complete and unreserved acceptance of these general conditions as well as the conditions of sale of the reserved tariff expressly mentioned in the description of the tariff selected upon booking.
The Customer confirms that he has read and accepted these general conditions before definitively confirming his booking; no booking is possible without this agreement. Confirmation of the booking implies adherence to these terms and conditions of sale and full and unreserved acceptance of their provisions.
Before booking, the Customer declares that this booking is made for his personal needs. The Customer, as a consumer, has specific rights, which would be called into question in the event that the Services booked were not for personal use.

The Customer declares that he has full legal capacity to accept these terms and conditions.
The following terms and conditions define the rights and obligations of the Customer and of the association Animal Sanctuary Laos as well as of the company Free Bouba Zoo Sole Co, Ltd for all types of bookings and stays (including remote bookings) offered.
They govern all the steps necessary to the booking and the follow-up of the booking between the contracting parties. The Client acknowledges that he has read and accepted these General Terms and Conditions of Sale and the Terms and Conditions of Sale of the booked tariff.
3. Scope of application
By booking, the first person mentioned on the booking agrees on behalf of all persons mentioned in the booking that:
- He/She has read these Booking Conditions and has the authority to and agrees to respect them.
- He/she is 18 years or over and, if booking services with restrictions, declares that he/she and all members of his/her party are of the right age to purchase such services.
- He/she accepts financial responsibility for payment of the booking on behalf of all persons named in the booking.
4. Contracting parties
Someone who spends the night at the Sanctuary is not necessarily a contracting party: a hotel contract may be concluded on their behalf by a third party.
In the application of these terms and conditions, “the contractor” or “the hotel” or “the sanctuary” means the natural or legal person who enters into a hotel booking contract and/or who is liable to pay (as compensation). “The” or “the Customers” refers to the natural person(s) who intends to stay at the hotel.
The booking carried out by the Client is made directly online at https://animalsanctuarylaos.com or directly on site, subject to availability.
To book a room or a stay at our hotel, please follow the instructions given on the website. You will need to provide your credit or debit card details to guarantee your booking.
Please check that your booking details are accurate before submitting your booking request. We cannot be held responsible for any delay or non-fulfilment of your booking if you provide us with inaccurate information.
Your booking is confirmed and a binding contract will come into effect between you and us once we have sent you a confirmation with a valid confirmation number which includes the details of your booking. Upon receipt, if you consider that any of the details in the confirmation are inaccurate or if you require any changes to be made, you must contact us immediately as these changes may not be possible later on.
Depending on the specific conditions of the tariffs booked, a deposit of 100% of the booking amount will be debited upon booking.
The provision of a credit card number commits the Customer to the contractor and implies acceptance of the terms and conditions of sale.
Any booking is nominative and may not be transferred to a third party, whether for free or for payment. Any booking made for a third party must be made in the name of the third party who is to receive it.
In accordance with the French Data Protection Act of 6 January 1978, your personal information will remain accessible and can be modified.
We reserve the right to refuse a booking and to issue a confirmation at our absolute discretion.
The Customer undertakes, prior to any reservation, to complete the compulsory information requested when creating the booking file.
Any reservation made by an underage person (between 16 and 18 years old) can only be taken into account by the contractor after having obtained the legal discharge signed by the legal representatives of the underage person having made the booking and of the possible accompanying underage persons. Animal Sanctuary Laos reserves the right to ask for all necessary documents to authenticate the signature of the legal discharge.
Payment can be made at the sanctuary in cash or by credit/debit card from the website.
Full pre-payment of your booking is required upon booking. Your credit/debit card may be charged for the full amount of the booking at any time between the date of booking and the date of arrival.
If you have not paid in full at the time of booking, you will be asked to do so upon your arrival at the hotel.
Upon prepayment, the amount that is debited at the time of booking includes: the price of the accommodation, the taxes related to the accommodation, the price of the restaurant if you choose breakfast, the taxes related to the restaurant and any additional services selected by the Customer.
If we do not receive payment in full on time, we shall be entitled to assume that you want to cancel your booking. In this case, we will be entitled to retain all amounts paid or due by that date and you will be liable to pay the cancellation charges as notified to you upon booking.
Any additional costs (e.g. minibar, extra meals, activities, excursions, etc.) must be paid directly at the hotel before departure.
The price of your booking and the conditions under which payment, changes and cancellations are made will vary depending on your room, the type of booking and other factors. You will be informed of these conditions upon booking. Please note that all tariffs are provided according to availability.
Our prices are based on a ‘dynamic pricing’ model and are set by individual hotels according to their booking models, and may therefore fluctuate according to supply and demand. The price of your booking will be confirmed at the time of booking and will not be affected by any price fluctuations between the date you book your stay and your arrival. You should always check the price upon booking.
Unless stated otherwise on the Site, additional services (breakfast, half board, full board, etc.) are not included in the price. The tourist tax, specified on the tariff page, must be paid directly to the hotel, except for online prepayments which normally include this amount.
Prices will also vary depending on the currency you choose for payment and possible differences in the exchange rate. The conversion into the foreign currency is given as an indication and is not contractual. Only the currency confirmed upon booking is guaranteed (if the currency is different from the one used in the hotel, any exchange charges will be charged to the Customer). If a tariff indicates that payment must be made on arrival or departure from the hotel and the Customer’s currency is not the same as that of the hotel, the rate charged by the hotel may differ from that indicated at the time of booking due to a possible difference between the exchange rate upon booking and the period of stay.
We reserve ourselves the right to correct any errors in the displayed and confirmed prices. We will do so as soon as we are made aware of such errors.
The price of your confirmed booking is subject at any time to error correction or changes resulting from government action, such as VAT rate changes or any other government-imposed changes, as well as changes in the rate of exchange between currencies, and we reserve the right to charge you for any increase in the price of your confirmed booking.
Some promotional offers available on the internet are only available online, i.e. at a distance, and in no way at the hotel reception. The prices for booking services are shown on the website and confirmed upon booking. The prices indicated are per room for the number of person(s) and the date selected. Prices are confirmed to the Customer in the commercial currency of the Hotel and are valid only for the period indicated on the website.
If the payment at the Hotel is in a currency other than the one confirmed upon booking, the Customer is responsible for the exchange fee. All bookings are payable in the local currency of the Hotel or in USD, unless special arrangements are made on site. Prices include the VAT applicable on the day of the order. Any change in the applicable rate of VAT will automatically be included in the prices indicated on the date of the bill.
8. Cancellation or modification made by the Customer
If the cancellation is made more than 7 days before the beginning of the stay, the entire deposit paid is returned to the Customer. From 7 days prior to the start of the stay, the deposit will be retained by the Sanctuary and definitively lost for the Customer.
Reservations with prepayment for a non-refundable and non-cancellable tariff cannot be modified and/or cancelled.
In the case of reservations with prepayment for a non-refundable and non-cancellable fare, the interruption of the stay does not lead to any refund.
When the Conditions of Sale of the booked tariff allow it:
- The cancellation of a reservation made via the Site can be made directly on the Site through the “Your reservations” section.
- In the event of ” no show “, i.e. in the event of a non-cancelled reservation but for which the Customer did not show up at the sanctuary on the reserved day and insofar as the reservation was guaranteed by credit card or prepaid, Animal Sanctuary Laos will debit, as compensation, the total amount of the stay and will not refund the amount paid as prepayment.
9. Cancellation made by the Hotel
In case of an exceptional event or if it is impossible to offer the reserved room to the Customer or in case of emergency, the contractor may offer the Customer an accommodation solution in a Hotel of at least an equivalent category or, if it is of a lower category, a room of a higher level than the one originally reserved, for services of the same kind. Any additional costs associated with this change of accommodation, for services of the same kind, will be covered by the Hotel that was booked by the Customer. The Customer may also cancel the reservation, in which case he will be refunded immediately.
Complaints regarding the non-execution or improper execution of the hotel services must, under penalty of foreclosure, be notified to our sanctuary either in letter or by e-mail within 7 days after the date of departure from the sanctuary.

12. Stay at the sanctuary
All customers who stay at the sanctuary must present a valid ID or passport during check-in. Otherwise, the Sanctuary may refuse to assign a room and/or cancel the reservation without the possibility of a refund in accordance with the Terms of Sale.
Foreign customers, including accompanying persons and teenagers over 15 years of age, are required to fill out an “individual form”. Children under 15 years old may be listed on the card of an accompanying adult.
The Client may not bring third parties into the room without the express permission of the Sanctuary, which reserves the right to carry out any necessary checks.
We gladly welcome cats and dogs as long as they are kept on a leash in all common areas of the facility, although the sanctuary may not accept any pet or other animal that may be considered a potential safety risk to other occupants. It is at the discretion of the sanctuary staff to determine what that risk is. For safety reasons, animals are not allowed inside the sanctuary park. For hygiene reasons, animals are not allowed in the restaurant areas. (This does not apply to guide or assistance dogs.) In order to guarantee the peacefulness of everyone, animals must not be left alone without being supervised. An additional fee per animal may be charged, please contact us before booking.
The Customer agrees and undertakes to use the room and the common areas provided in a reasonable manner. Any behaviour contrary to the principles of safety and/or hygiene, good morals and/or public order may lead the sanctuary to request the Customer to leave the establishment, without refund.
Any damage caused by the Customer or by the occupants of the room or in the various areas they occupy during their stay must be reported to the reception or to the person in charge and may be charged directly to the Customer to cover the cost of repair.
The Sanctuary has its own internal regulations intended for the Customer. The Customer accepts and agrees to respect these rules and regulations, which apply to him as well as to any occupant of the sanctuary. In case of violation of these rules, the Sanctuary may immediately expel the Customer and all persons staying with him at the Sanctuary, without any compensation and/or refund if payment has already been made. The Sanctuary may also refuse to accept any future reservations.
We advise you to systematically close your windows, doors and bay windows when you are away from your accommodation in order to avoid any inconvenience. The sanctuary cannot be held responsible for theft or damage to personal belongings.
The Sanctuary offers free WIFI access. The Customer agrees not to use its computer resources for the purpose of reproduction, representation, making available or communication to the public of any goods protected by copyright or neighbouring rights without the permission of the copyright holders or in violation of their rights.
Unless there is an express agreement to the contrary, the Customer must leave the room before 12.00 noon on the last day of the reservation. Otherwise, the Customer will be charged an additional night’s stay.
13. Rules and regulations of the sanctuary
In order to guarantee your safety, the safety of the animals and to ensure that you enjoy a pleasant time at the sanctuary, we ask you to respect some of the rules laid down in the sanctuary’s rules and regulations. Please take note of them on this page: https://animalsanctuarylaos.com/regulations
The pictures displayed on the website of our sanctuary are not contractual. Although every effort is made to ensure that the photographs, graphics and texts reproduced to illustrate our sanctuary give the most accurate picture possible of the accommodation and activities available, variations may occur, particularly due to changes in furnishings or potential renovations.
Our sanctuary cannot be held responsible for the non-execution or the bad execution of the reservation in case of force majeure , third party’s fault, customer’s fault, especially the unavailability of the internet network, impossibility of access to the website, external intrusion, computer viruses or in case of unauthorized prepayment by the holder’s bank.
Our site contains links to other websites over which we have no authority. Our sanctuary is not responsible for the content of such third party sites that you choose to visit by clicking on a link from our site.
Any booking or payment that is improper, inoperative, incomplete or fraudulent for any reason attributable to the Customer will result in the cancellation of the booking at the Customer’s expense, without prejudice to any civil or penal action against the Customer.
15. Data confidentiality
Our Site commits to protecting your personal data and privacy.
During your visits to our site, we may ask you for information through forms or when you create your customer account. This information is necessary to process your requests. This information is intended for our sanctuary for the purposes of recording and processing your reservations and managing your customer account. All data provided to our sanctuary is exclusively intended for our establishment.
We may also send you an e-mail requesting proof of your identity and address, and possibly a scan of the partially masked front and back of your credit card ( you should not communicate the security code under any circumstances), in order to protect you from fraudulent transactions. These documents guarantee you better security by ensuring that you are the owner of the credit card used.
If the requested documents are not submitted, or if the documents submitted are not conclusive and do not allow our hotel to verify the identity of the booker, his address or the apparent conditions of solvency, our sanctuary will have the right to cancel the booking.
By entering into the Contract, you agree to the processing of your Data by Animal Sanctuary Laos for the purposes of performing the Contract. Unless you consent, your data will not be processed for any other purpose. 16. Force majeure
Force majeure refers to any event that is external to the parties and which is both unforeseeable and insurmountable and which prevents either the Customer or the Sanctuary from fulfilling all or part of the requirements of the contract. Force majeure or fortuitous events are the ones usually recognized by Laotian justice.
Each party shall not be liable to the other party in case of non-fulfilment of its obligations resulting from an event of force majeure. It is expressly agreed that force majeure suspends, for the parties, the fulfilment of their mutual obligations and that each party shall bear the costs arising from it.
17. Applicable law
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale are ruled by Laotian law. This applies to both substantive and formal rules.
18. Convention of proof
The entry of the required banking information, as well as the approval of the present general conditions and of the form or reservation request, constitutes an electronic signature which is equivalent to a handwritten signature between the parties.
The computerized registers kept in the IT systems of the Sanctuary are kept in reasonable conditions of security and are considered as proof of the communications, orders and payments made between the parties.
The Customer is informed that his IP address may be recorded upon booking.
19. Account / password
The Customer is responsible for keeping his passwords, login details and account information confidential. The Customer shall be financially responsible for all uses of the Site by himself and/or any person using his account information.
20. Litigation revolution
The contract and the general sales conditions are governed by Lao law. In case of any dispute regarding these general terms and conditions of sale or the execution of the contract, the Customer shall contact the Customer Service of the Sanctuary. In case of a dispute that is not amicably resolved within 30 days from the date of contact with the customer service, the Court of Laos will have exclusive authority.
It is specified that the documents constituting the contractual commitments between the parties are, in decreasing order of priority, the reservation form or request (including the particular conditions of the reserved tariff) and the present general conditions. In the event of a contradiction between the booking form and the general conditions, the provisions of the booking form shall be the only ones applicable to the obligation involved.
The association Animal Sanctuary Laos and the company Free Bouba Zoo Sole Co, Ltd. reserve the right to modify or complete at any time all or part of these general conditions of sale. In such a case, the new version of the terms and conditions will be available online. The Customer is advised to consult the general terms and conditions of sale regularly to take note of any changes. In any case, the Customer will only be bound by the version of the general terms and conditions in force at the time he completed the reservation for the Service.
Animal Sanctuary Laos and Free Bouba Zoo Sole Co, Ltd are not responsible for any damages of any kind that may result from these changes and/or temporary unavailability or permanent closure of all or part of the site or of the services associated with it, such as the online booking space or the Customer account.
General terms and conditions of sale
Our sanctuary is mainly funded by your generous donations. However, did you know that buying products and gifts from the sanctuary shop is also a good way to support the animals and our actions?
These terms and conditions (hereinafter referred to as “GTC”) are entered into between:
- On the one hand, the Laos Animal Sanctuary Association and Free Bouba Zoo Sole Co, Ltd (hereinafter “the Shop” or “the Sanctuary” or “the Seller”)

The Customer declares that he has full legal capacity to enter into these terms and conditions.
The purpose of the GTC is to define the rights and obligations of the parties in the context of the online sale of products available on the site by the shop of the website https://animalsanctuarylaos.com.
They govern all the necessary steps for the purchase and follow-up of orders between the contracting parties. The Customer acknowledges that he has read and accepted these general terms and conditions of sale.
3. Scope of application
By placing a purchase in the shop, the Customer named on the billing account understands and confirms that:

The sanctuary shop mainly offers wonderful souvenirs, gifts, clothing and other items around the theme of the sanctuary, animals and nature. Your purchases help to support our association and the animals that are being rescued. The essential characteristics of the articles and their respective prices are made available to the customer on the shop, as well as the way in which the product is to be used, if applicable. The selling price of the product is the one in force indicated on the day of the order, which does not include the shipping costs charged in addition. These eventual costs are indicated to the buyer during the purchase process, and in any case upon confirmation of the order. The Seller reserves the right to modify its prices at any time, while guaranteeing the use of the price indicated upon the order.
The Customer certifies that he has at his disposal details of the delivery costs as well as the terms of payment, delivery and execution of the contract, as well as detailed information relating to the identity of the Seller, his address, phone number and electronic contact details, and his activities in the context of the present sale. The Seller undertakes to honour the Customer’s order within the limits of available stocks of products only. If it is not possible, the Seller shall inform the Customer; if the order has been placed, and if no agreement has been reached with the Customer on a new delivery date, the Seller shall refund the Customer.
The parties agree that the illustrations or photos of the articles have no contractual value. The period of validity of the oﬀer of the products as well as their prices are specified in the shop. Except under special conditions, the rights granted hereunder are only granted to the natural person placing the order (or the person entitled to the email address communicated).

The items for sale are subject to availability. If a product is not available, the Customer will be informed by e-mail after placing the order. The order will be validated only when the Customer will have paid the totality of the payment. The Animal Sanctuary Laos sop reserves the right to refuse certain orders considered invalid.
In order to validate your order, it is necessary to identify you with an email address, a password, and to create an account on our website. The steps to follow to place an order are the checkout of the basket containing the items, the choice of delivery method and then the payment. The validation of the order implies the validation of the general terms and conditions of sale and the sales contract between the shop and yourself. An order number will be assigned to the Customer who will also receive a confirmation by e-mail. The shop Animal Sanctuary Laos will keep the registration of the order as proof of the contractual relationship between the parties.
6. Entering into the online contract
The Customer must follow a series of steps to enter into the contract via electronic means in order to be able to complete the order:
- Information on the essential characteristics of the Product.
- Choice of the Product, and, if applicable, of its options.
- Indication of the Customer’s basic contact details (identification, email, address, etc.).
- Approval of these General Terms and Conditions of Sale.
- Verification of the elements of the order and, if necessary, correction of errors.
Before confirming the order, the Buyer has the possibility to check the details of the order, its price, and to correct any errors or cancel the order. The confirmation of the order will be considered as the acceptance of the present contract. The Customer will receive an e-mail confirmation of the payment of the order, as well as an acknowledgement of receipt of the order confirming it.
During the ordering process, the customer will have the opportunity to identify and correct any errors made when entering data. This contract is offered in English and other foreign languages.
Communications, orders, order details and invoices shall be archived by the Customer. This information may be kept as proof of the contract.
The prices of the products are indicated in euros and with all taxes included, excluding shipping costs. Prices are valid for the duration of the online publication. They take into account the VAT applicable on the day of the order. Any change in the applicable rate may be reflected in the price of the products. Similarly, if one or more taxes or contributions, particularly environmental taxes, are created or modified, either upwards or downwards, this change may be passed on to the sale price of the products. The payment of the totality of the price must be made at the time of the order. At no time, the sums paid can be considered as deposits or down payments.
The Sanctuary Shop reserves the right to modify its prices at any time, but undertakes to apply the prices in force at the time of the order, subject to availability on that date. Prices do not include a fixed contribution to the costs of processing the order (postage, packaging and preparation of the parcel) which will be, except in the case of a special exemption offer, charged to the Customer in addition, and indicated before the final validation of the order.
The Customer shall bear the telecommunication costs of accessing the Internet and using the website, as well as of calls to the numbers indicated in the GTC.
The Customer is informed that, in certain cases, depending on the place of delivery, additional taxes and customs duties may apply.
Payment is due immediately upon ordering, including for pre-ordered products. The Customer may pay by credit card or via PayPal. The Customer can consult the General Terms and Conditions of Sale and Use of each of these bank cards on the websites of our partners. The choice of one of these payment cards implies tacit acceptance of the general conditions of sale and use of the said partners.
Regardless of the method of payment chosen from among those accepted on our site, orders will only be deemed to have been recorded after validation or receipt of payment. Thus, as long as the payment is not validated by the intermediary chosen by the consumer, the order cannot be processed by the seller.
Online payment by credit card is perfectly secure and allows you to enter the card number, expiry date and security code in the boxes provided. Indeed, the credit card details are encrypted thanks to the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol and are never transmitted unencrypted over the network.
By communicating his bank information at the time of the sale, the Customer authorises the Seller to debit his card for the amount relating to the price indicated. The Customer confirms that he is the legal holder of the card to be debited and that he is legally entitled to use it. In the event of an error or the impossibility of debiting the card, the Sale is immediately cancelled as of right and the order cancelled.
The seller reserves himself the right to check the validity of the payment before dispatching the order by any means he considers necessary (in particular identity papers, proof of address, etc.).
The seller reserves himself the right to refuse to make a delivery or to honour an order from a Customer who has not paid in full or in part for a previous order or with whom a payment dispute is being administered. In the event of fraud, the seller reserves himself the right to remove any member without notice or compensation.
a. Delivery areas
The seller delivers in many countries throughout the world. The Customer can check the eligibility of his country upon placing the order. The seller reserves himself the right to update the list of countries eligible for delivery at any time.
Shipping countries may vary depending on the items selected. Items are shipped from different warehouses or partner suppliers located either in Asia or in France.
The seller reserves himself the right to subcontract all or part of the preparation and dispatch of the order to a third party mandated to perform this service. As all products sold by the seller are considered to be available in stock, orders are prepared within 5 working days from the first working day following the registration of the order in accordance with these GTC. Thus, orders placed on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday will be processed on the next working day.
c. Shipping time
The seller reserves the right to choose the most appropriate mode of transport depending on the type of product, its weight and its volume, which the Customer declares to have taken note of and to accept.
Shipping times cannot be guaranteed in the event of force majeure. The shipping times do not take into account any procedures for checking the Customer’s payment which would delay the shipment of the order.
The announced shipping times run from the moment the order is registered. The expected delivery date is indicated on the order. In the event of absence, the Customer will be responsible for collecting the product from the appropriate services.
From the date on which the ordered products are shipped from our warehouses, the seller can no longer be held responsible for delays or damage caused during transport. Shipping times are given as an indication only.
In the event of an unforeseen or unannounced stock shortage for an ordered item, the Customer will be informed immediately by the Customer Service Department, in order to inform him of the possible delay and to allow him, if necessary, to cancel his order and obtain an immediate refund of the sums already paid.
The amount of the shipping costs includes the costs of preparation and packaging of the parcel as well as the transport costs. The amount of the shipping costs is calculated when the order is placed, and is automatically added to the basket when the Customer chooses the delivery method and country.
The billing of transport costs is based on a calculation rule that takes into account the destination on the one hand and the weight of the package on the other. The prices indicated are all in euros (€), all taxes and charges are included, including the VAT rate in force on the day of delivery.
Possible customs fees may be requested by the authorities upon delivery and are to be paid by the Customer. These costs depend entirely on the country of delivery and the local regulations in force in the Customer’s country.
e. Delivery tracking
The Customer may at any time track his or her order using the order number communicated to him in the email formally registering the order, in his “My Account” space.
It is reminded that all communication between the Customer and the seller is essentially carried out through email exchanges, and it is therefore essential that the Customer provides the seller with a valid and regularly updated email address. Otherwise, the seller cannot be held responsible for the consequences of communicating an incorrect or non-updated email address.
The articles are delivered exclusively to the delivery address indicated by the Customer upon placing the order. The delivery address cannot be modified after the order has been completed. We recommend that you specify all the elements that will facilitate the delivery of your order (flat, floor, etc.), as well as your phone number. In the event of a data entry error, in particular an incorrect or incomplete delivery address, the seller cannot be held responsible for the consequences in terms of delay or impossibility of delivery. All costs related to the reshipment of products following an error in the Customer’s data entry shall be charged exclusively to the Customer.
Once these transport methods have been validated and the order has been paid for, the seller will display a recap of the order by transport method, for which the products in question are eligible and according to the option chosen by the Customer when it was offered. Once the order has been properly prepared and is ready for shipment, the Customer will receive an email regarding the shipment of each part of the order by the shipping method so agreed.
10. ASS (After Sale Service)
Apart from the commercial or legal guarantee, the Customer has always the possibility to contact the Customer Service to answer his questions relating to the ordered articles. The contact information of the Customer Service is indicated in article 15.
11. Conformity of items
The seller guarantees the conformity of his items. If, when unpacking the products, the Customer discovers that a product does not correspond to the order or the product information sheet (e.g. error in the product, model, colour, etc.), the seller undertakes to replace the product or to refund the Customer for the totality of his expenses as soon as the defect is noticed and confirmed.
To do so, the Customer must contact the Customer Service to submit a complaint and follow the procedure given. After receiving the product duly returned and noticing the non-conformity or damage reported by the Customer, the seller may, at its sole discretion
- Either send a new product to the Customer, at no extra cost
- Or refund the sums paid for the purchase of this product
This complaint must be submitted within 14 days upon delivery of the products to the Customer. After this period, the products will not be returned. The return costs are to be paid by the Customer. The return conditions set out in our General Terms and Conditions of Sale, article 14, must be fulfilled.
The Customer is entitled to exchange items purchased in the Seller’s shop. The Customer may thus, upon receipt of his order, request a change of size, colour or model. The new order will be sent to the address indicated upon the first order.
To exchange a product, the Customer must first contact the Customer Service Department to make the request and then follow the procedure given. The seller will only pay for the cost of returning the product for the first exchange (cost to return it from the warehouse to your home). The costs are at your expense (return) from the 2nd exchange. If you place a new order before we receive the returned product, we will not pay the shipping costs for this new order.
The exchange request must be made within 14 days following receipt of the products by the Customer. After this period, the products will not be taken back. The cost of returning the goods is borne by the Customer. The conditions of return set out in our GTC article 14 must be fulfilled.
13. Retraction right
The Customer has 14 days upon delivery of his order to use his right of withdrawal from the seller, without having to justify his reasons or pay any penalty, in order to request a refund.
If the right of withdrawal is exercised within the above-mentioned period, only the price of the Product(s) purchased and the delivery costs will be reimbursed; the cost of returning the Product(s) will be charged to the Customer.
The right of withdrawal must be exercised within 14 days upon the delivery of the products to the Customer. After this period, the products will not be taken back. The costs of return are to be paid by the Customer. The conditions of return set out in our General Terms and Conditions, article 14, must be fulfilled.
In the event of the return of one or more products for non-conformity, request for exchange or right of withdrawal, the products that need to be returned to the shop must be returned by the Customer within 14 days after the delivery of the products, and following the conditions below:
- In their original packaging.
- Complete (accessories, instructions, etc.).
- Clean and unused.
- Not damaged or deteriorated.
- With the corresponding original invoice.
When returning items for non-conformity, the Customer must also attach to the package the reasons for the claimed non-conformity. Items that are not returned within the deadline and according to the conditions mentioned above will not be reimbursed or exchanged by the seller.
Any item that is returned damaged, deteriorated, incomplete or soiled and which is not accompanied with written comments of the Customer upon receipt at the time of delivery by the carrier will be refused by the seller and will therefore not be exchanged or refunded.

16. Liabilities and guarantees
The guarantees do not apply to regular wear and tear of our articles, nor in the case of professional or collective use, nor to damage caused by external causes to the articles. The Customer is expressly informed that the seller is not the manufacturer of all the products offered.
The seller’s obligation at all stages of access to the site, the ordering process, delivery, customer service and subsequent services is limited to the provision of means. Consequently, the seller shall not be held liable for any inconvenience or damage inherent in the use of the Internet network, especially a breakdown in service, external intrusion or the threat of computer viruses, or for any event considered to be a force majeure, as defined by the jurisprudence.
The Seller declines all responsibility, as from the submission of the order to the delivery company, for any event affecting the delivery (delay or other anomaly) which is attributable either to the Customer or to the unforeseeable and insurmountable fault of a third party to the contract (notably the delivery company), or to a case of force majeure. Consequently, no compensation claim, of any kind whatsoever, may be made by the Customer to the Seller.
In case the clauses of this contract are declared null and void by a change in legislation or regulations or by a court decision, this shall not affect the validity of and compliance with all the other provisions of these General Terms of Sale.
18. Intellectual property
The content of the website https://animalsanctuarylaos.com is the property of the Seller and its partners and is protected by French, Lao and international laws relating to intellectual property.
The brands, domain names, products, images, videos, texts or any kind of information subject to intellectual property rights are and remain the exclusive property of the Seller. No transfer of intellectual property rights is made through these GTC. Any total or partial reproduction, modification or use of these goods for any reason whatsoever is strictly prohibited.
Furthermore, the Seller retains all intellectual property rights to the pictures, presentations, studies, drawings, models, prototypes, etc., produced (even at the request of the Customer). The Customer shall therefore not reproduce or exploit the said studies, drawings, models and prototypes, etc., without the express, written and prior authorisation of the Seller, which may be conditional on a financial compensation.
19. Voidance and modification of the contract
If any of the provisions of the present contract should become void, this shall not entail the nullity of the other provisions, which shall remain in force between the parties. Any contractual amendment is only valid after a written and signed agreement of the parties.
20. Applicable law and clauses
All clauses mentioned in these general terms and conditions of sale, as well as all purchase and sale operations referred to herein, shall be subject to French and Laotian law. The voidness of a contractual clause does not entail the voidness of these general terms and conditions of sale.
21. Data confidentiality
Our website commits to protecting your personal data and privacy. When you visit our site, we may ask you for information through forms or when you create your customer account. This information is necessary to process your orders. This information is intended for our shop for the purposes of recording and processing your orders and managing your customer account. All data communicated to our shop is intended exclusively for our establishment.

22. Litigation resolution
The contract and the general terms and conditions of sale are governed by Laotian law. In case of any dispute regarding these general terms and conditions of sale or the execution of the contract, the Customer shall contact the Customer Service of the Sanctuary. In case of dispute not amicably resolved within 30 days from the moment the customer contacts the customer service, the Court of Laos will have exclusive authority.
It is specified that the documents constituting the contractual commitments between the parties are, in decreasing order of priority, the reservation form or request (including the particular conditions of the reserved tariff) and the present general conditions. In the event of a contradiction between the booking form and the general conditions, the provisions mentioned in the booking form shall be the only ones applicable to the obligation at stake.
The association Animal Sanctuary Laos and the company Free Bouba Zoo Sole Co, Ltd. reserve the right to modify or complete at any time all or part of these general conditions of sale. In this case, the new version of the general conditions will be available online. The Customer is advised to consult the general terms and conditions of sale regularly to take note of any changes. In any case, the Customer will only be bound by the version of the general conditions in force at the time the Customer places the order.
Animal Sanctuary Laos and Free Bouba Zoo Sole Co, Ltd decline any responsibility for damages of any kind that may result from these changes and/or temporary unavailability or permanent shutting down of all or part of the site or of the services associated with it, such as the online shop or the Customer account.
